Dual Armour or Light Armour better for Magician
There is a lots of build out there emphasing for light armour build. However, if we look into the light armour build, it needs to waste too much stat points. Stat points are limited since each lvl upgrade only gives 5 stat points making it very precious to be wasted.
if we looked into the logic behind light armour build is that it offers higher phy def compare to magical armours while it had better magical defense than heavy armour. However, most of the time we will be either facing a magical attacks or physical attacks at any one time making light armour not so powerful.
I have better idea. Carry two sets of armours at all time. One set heavy armour and the other one mage armour. This way when you faced with melee attacks, use heavy armour while facing magical attacks use magical armours.
The details as below (consider yourselves at lvl 97):-
Dual Armour build -
If you look into when you using your lvl 97 staff weapon, you will notice you require 62 str to use it. With just adding extra 5 str, to 67, and 15 agi so that your agi is 20 (for extra 1% critical rate) you could wear complete lvl 4 heavy armour.
In total you wasted, 20 stat (15 to agi and 5 to str). Lvl4 heavy armour offers 885 physical defense (not counting accessory and strength bonus) while magical armour at lvl 11 only offer 412 phy def. That is twice the phy defence by wasting 20 stat. You also got 3690 magical defense when wearing magical armour. In total by using dual armour, you got 885 phy def and 3690 mag def.
Light Armour build -
By comparison if you wear light armour lvl 7 with 895 Phy def, you will need to have 60 str + 60 agi. Considering you weapon lvl 11 staff requires 62 str, you pretty safe with no extra str need to add. However, you need to added extra 55 agi to get 60 agi. You only have 1390 magical def. In total, you got 895 phy def, with 1390 mag def.
Comparing the dual armour build and the light armour build,
Dual Armour
885 phy def
3690 mag def
20 Stat wasted
1% extra critical
wasted extra 4 storage space (6 space if you consider dual accessory too)
Light Armour
895 phy def
1390 mag def
55 stat wasted
3% extra critical
nil storage space required
I dunno about you all but for me i would go for dual armour build since I got plenty pf storage space. 30 extra stat would means a lot for me especially in 300 HP gained in pvp, pk and pve.
by Going on dual armour build, if I choose to spend 47 stat (consider using lvl 11 staff weapon with 62 str requirement) by adjusting my stat to 92 str and 22 agi, i could wear lvl 5 heavy armour giving me a whooping 1285 phy def. This is still less than 55 stat requirement for light armour build with895 phy defense. No need to mention the meagre magical def offers by light armour build.
Also, if you want to get your heavy armour earlier you could do this,
For every 2 level, 6 int, 3 str, 1 agi until level 31 (or when you total Agi reaches 20).
After that 3 int 2 str every level for 9 level until your pure str reaches 67. By now you should be around level 40. After this you could either go into Pure int or Hybrid build. Btw, you do not have to add anymore str at least until level 100.
To wear level 5 and above armour not so recommended for beginners as it cost too much stat been channel into str unless you are into Heavy Armour build.
